I haven’t been active lately, neither on my website, nor on social media. But I have a good excuse that I’m sure will compensate for this… I’m actively working on a new Skillshare class series. The first class in the series is “Design Intricate Flowers from Simple Illustrator Shapes” where you’ll learn how to use basic Illustrator tools such as the shape tools: circles, lines, rectangles, the pathfinder tool to unite, intersect and exclude shapes and create beautiful intricate flower shapes, for illustrations or surface pattern.
This class teaches creative and conceptual tips and tricks on how to design beautiful and complex graphics from simple shapes! Using only simple Illustrator shapes, the pathfinder tool, blend, rotate, reflect and transform tools, you will feel comfortable designing intricate flowers, beautifully decorated, for use in illustrations or repeat patterns. If you’re as passionate about flowers and the natural world as I am, you’ll love the class, especially because there’s inspiration all around you and virtually endless types of flowers you can represent digitally!
To get you as excited as I am about the new class, I’m going to share a little secret beforehand: I plan on running a contest around the class projects! So, keep tuned, I’ll be in touch soon letting you know when the class goes live.
Here are some patterns that I created for the class. I can’t wait to see yours!
In the meantime, have a look at my previous classes and learn a new skill today!

– Turn your Sketches into Festive Greeting Cards, in Illustrator – learn to design greeting cards from idea to the final piece! This Valentine’s sure won’t catch you unprepared!
Thanks everyone and Happy Making!
